Junior Faculty Position in the Adult Borderline Center and Training Institute
McLean Hospital
Belmont, MA
The Adult Borderline Center and Training Institute at McLean Hospital invite applications from qualified individuals for an early career investigator in personality disorders research at the faculty rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor level in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. This investigator will be responsible for providing oversight of research in the Adult Borderline Personality Disorder services to further develop and shape a system of diagnostic assessment and clinical characterization of the clinical populations in the Gunderson Residence, Gunderson Outpatient Program, Mentalization Based Treatment Clinic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Clinic, and DBT for PTSD Clinic as well as modifications and improvements in the semi-structured interview assessments to establish comprehensive psychiatric diagnosis, with specific assessment of narcissistic personality disorder and paranoia. In addition, the investigator will also be expected to develop her/his individual federally funded program of research in borderline personality disorder.  Opportunities exist for developing strong collaborations within McLean Hospital and across Harvard Medical School. 
The position offers office and human laboratory space, affiliation with a large clinical research program, and research infrastructure support. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a competitive, independent, and largely externally funded research program. Effective immediately, the MMHC seeks a licensed, board certified psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership for a new outpatient program. Join a diverse team of experienced clinicians who are fine-tuning a short-term, comprehensive group program, for DMH eligible patients, focused on community integration and psychosocial rehabilitation. Duties will include clinical care, supervision/teaching of psychiatric residents and medical students, administration, and program development.
MMHC is a Harvard affiliated mental health center in the Longwood Medical Area of metro-Boston. Under the auspices of DMH, the Center has provided public-sector community psychiatry since 1912, addressing the needs of a mentally ill population with complex difficulties arising from disruption in attachments, trauma, poor access to care, histories of institutionalization and coercive care, cognitive impairments, etc. RAFT represents a new initiative to better integrate treatment across transitions of care and within the array of community support services.
Desirable qualifications include experience with the pharmacology of complex illness, psychiatric rehabilitation, and integration of psychiatric treatment with physical health and wellness. This is a 40-hour outpatient position, five days a week, with salary commensurate with level of experience. No call or weekends. An academic appointment with the Harvard Medical School is possible for the appropriate candidate.

The Department of Psychiatry at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC), has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time or part-time BC/BE adult psychiatrist to provide care in our Adult Outpatient Department. The psychiatrist provides clinical assessment and follow-up care for patients in our clinic and leads a multidisciplinary clinical team that includes outpatient psychotherapists. Interest in Substance Use Disorders is preferred, but formal Addictions training is not required. Other clinical opportunities may include periodic coverage on the adult inpatient units. as well as consultation to medical/surgical floors.

NSMC is in the process of opening a new, state-of-the-art, 120-bed psychiatric inpatient facility in affiliation with Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General).
