 Psychiatrist - Outpatient - Peabody 

The Division of Psychiatry at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is recruiting full or part-time psychiatrists to join our outpatient practice and to lead interdisciplinary clinical teams. 

The outpatient division is a robust multi-disciplinary team of professionals supporting the network of providers within Beth Israel Lahey Health. The division has extensive collaborations throughout the hospital with primary care, neurology, cardiology, pulmonology, neurosurgery, medical and surgical weight loss, infectious disease, and transplant. We also partner with Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services, one of the largest healthcare providers for behavioral health services in the State of Massachusetts. 

The experienced MD/DO candidate should be eligible for an unrestricted Massachusetts State Medical License, and be Board Eligible/Certified in Psychiatry. Academic appointments are with Tufts University School of Medicine. The Division is currently a training site for students from across multiple professions including physicians, nurses and social workers.

BayRidge Hospital - Unit Medical Director

Oversees psychiatric and medical services on unit. Provide supervision to staff psychiatrist as needed.

Partners with Clinical Nurse Mgr and Administration on Unit clinical policies and procedures.

Works with Clinical Nurse Mgr, in a manner which models optimal interdisciplinary teamwork

Advises Clinical Nurse Mgr regarding Unit Treatment program, including groups and psychosocial therapy

Is available to consult with Unit staff regarding clinical care issues and takes primary responsibility for addressing conflicts among professional staff regarding clinical care issues

Co-leads Unit staff meeting with Clinical Nurse Mgr

Works with Clinical Nurse Mgr to identify educational needs among Unit staff and participates in educational programs as needed.

Psychiatrist - Ambulatory Services
Salem MA

Provides direct outpatient psychiatric services through
comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, counseling, and psychopharmacological treatment of assigned patients. Works as member of an interdisciplinary team for the management of complex psychiatric patients in a community mental health clinic setting.

Must have current licensure as physician in the State of Massachusetts, current licensures with the DEA and State of Massachusetts for controlled substances (Buprenorphine licensure preferred but not mandatory), and current certification with the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

PSYCHIATRY POSITIONS

 Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, a 650+ bed tertiary care teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, is recruiting highly qualified staff psychiatrists.  The Department of Psychiatry is a major teaching site for Harvard Medical School and the BIDMC Harvard Psychiatry Residency Training Program; positions will include opportunities for teaching medical students and residents and for faculty development. A Harvard Medical School appointment at the rank of instructor, assistant, or associate professor would be commensurate with the record of accomplishments. Opportunities exist on the following services with the possibility of combining work on different services to make a full- or part-time position: 

AMBULATORY PSYCHIATRY

This part-time position involves clinical care and opportunities to participate in the training of psychiatric residents. The clinical care involves psychiatric evaluations and ongoing treatment of outpatients in our general psychiatry clinic located within the medical center. 

CONSULTATION-LIAISON PSYCHIATRY

This part-time position involves clinical care, teaching, and supervision and combines coverage of inpatient CL and ED. The service sees 2500 Emergency Department and 1000 Inpatient Medical-Surgical consultations annually. Certification (or eligibility) in Psychosomatic Medicine is desirable. 

INPATIENT PSYCHIATRY SERVICE 

This full-time position includes clinical care, teaching, and supervision on an active 25 bed inpatient teaching unit. 

MOONLIGHTING

Attending psychiatrists or fellows for weekend and holiday coverage of the inpatient psychiatry unit and/or the CL/ED service.  Coverage includes onsite morning rounds and telephone backup to the resident after finishing onsite work. Must have a full Massachusetts license. 

NEUROPSYCHIATRY

This part-time position is for a neuropsychiatrist who will be part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Cognitive Neurology Unit.

Job opening for Adult Psychiatrist

The Department of Psychiatry at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC), in affiliation with Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General), has an outstanding full-time opportunity at the Epstein Center for Behavioral Health for a BC/BE psychiatrist who is interested in adult inpatient psychiatry.

The Epstein Center for Behavioral Health is a newly renovated 120-bed inpatient facility that opened in October 2019. It includes two adult units, one child and adolescent unit, and one geriatric unit, in a full-service medical center. Each unit has a team of social workers and a psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to support physicians, optimize workflow, and improve patient care.

Physician caseloads on the inpatient units are very reasonable, with generally 8-10 patients seen daily. The model for medical care is unique, with a medical service that is dedicated to the Epstein Center and collaborates closely with the psychiatrist.

For the candidate who is interested in outpatient care, there is an opportunity to combine inpatient work with caring for patients in the outpatient department.

There is a strong educational ethos in the department, with multiple CME conferences, teaching opportunities, and a culture of lifelong learning and development. Tufts Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professionals faculty appointments are available. There are also educational and research opportunities at Mass General and Harvard Medical School for the appropriate interested candidate.

Qualified candidates are eligible for a clinical appointment at both NSMC and Massachusetts General Hospital. The Department of Psychiatry at Mass General is consistently ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report and works with NSMC as a community partner.

Salaries are extremely competitive. Evening and weekend call are very reasonable, and provide significant additional compensation.
