Psychiatrist job opportunity  

New Horizons Medical is Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Clinic specializing in treating individuals with Substance Use Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other co-occurring disorders.  

We are looking for BC/BE Adult Psychiatrist to join our expanding outpatient office in Brookline for part-time (8-24 hours per week)  

 Candidates must have a medical degree from an accredited school of medicine, must be board certified or board eligible, must hold a valid medical license (or be able to obtain) in the state of Massachusetts and must hold a valid DEA.  

Psychiatrists will provide individual psychiatric assessments, participate in client follow-up sessions and provide medication management. In addition, Psychiatrists have the opportunity to provide supervision for the psychiatric APRN, who also work in New Horizons offices.  

We offer desired compensation and pretty flexible hours.  

New Horizons Medical, PC founded in 2009, is a private physician group dedicated to providing the safe prescription of buprenorphine (Suboxone) to patients engaged in serious recovery efforts from opiate dependence. We provide compassionate care to all individuals regardless of the reason or history of the addiction. In 2018 New Horizons medical switched to Clinic, and pussed BSAS license.

Seeking Part Time Psychiatrist for South of Boston PACT Team

Vinfen, the largest provider of community based psychiatric rehabilitation services in Massachusetts, is seeking a Psychiatrist to work with our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team to provide evidence based intensive home and community based services to adults with severe persistent mental illness who are pursuing goals of recovery. The Psychiatrist, in conjunction with the Team Leader, will have clinical responsibility for psychiatric and medical assessments as well as prescribing and monitoring the treatment of persons served. The Psychiatrist will also provide clinical supervision, education, and training to the interdisciplinary PACT team comprised of professionals with expertise in rehabilitation, counseling, nursing and social work. In addition, the psychiatrist will play a role in the development, maintenance, and supervision of medication and psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have:

• Valid license to practice medicine in Massachusetts required.
• Strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
• Experience in a related setting.
• Clinical supervisory experience; desirable but not required.
• Current Federal DEA and State Controlled Substances Certificates are required.
• Ability to successfully pass a CORI, reference, multi-state background, and professional licensure check.
• Ability to complete CPR certification training within 2 weeks of employment and complete PACT Module Training within 3 months of hire if not already trained.
