 Outpatient Psychiatrist 

Baystate Health in conjunction with the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate is seeking a well-trained ABMS BC/BE Psychiatrist to join our Department of Psychiatry at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA. 

Position Highlights include:                                                                                                                                                                

  • WELL-ESTABLISHED MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM. Psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, mental health counselors, and support staff including MAs and CNAs providing a full range of general and child & adolescent psychiatry. 
  • FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. Ability to negotiate hours and call which is compensated separately. 
  • CLINICAL EXPECTATIONS. General adult outpatient psychiatry position. Provide direct clinical care including evaluations and follow ups. Usual allotted times are 1-1.5 hours for a new evaluation and 20-30 minutes for follow up appointments.
  • ELIGIBLE FOR FACULTY APPOINTMENT TO UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS SCHOOL OF MEDICINE-BAYSTATE. Commensurate with experience and training, opportunity to teach medical students, advanced practitioner students and residents from Baystate’s Psychiatry Residency Program.

Seeking Consulting Psychiatrist for Plymouth and the Cape Cod Regions

Vinfen is seeking a Psychiatrist for consultation and collaboration with our community based treatment teams providing services to adults with serious mental illness.

Opportunities are available in Southeast Massachusetts including the Plymouth and Cape Cod areas for 20 to 30 hours per week. Excellent benefits package including health insurance, PTO and retirement plans.

A new opportunity is available at Lahey Health Behavioral Services as the Medical Director for Addictions. This physician should be an ASAM- certified Addiction Specialist or a Board Certified Addiction Psychiatrist. The position provides clinical leadership and oversight for the medical services at LHBS’s three Acute Treatment (detox) Service sites, two Opioid Treatment (Methadone) Programs, two OBAT (Buprenorphine) sites, as well as TSS, CSS, and other step-down and sub-acute programs.

Psychiatrist –Full Time (Rockville)

Walden Eating Disorders Center at Rockville Hospital is Connecticut’s first dedicated inpatient eating disorder treatment center, serving both adults and adolescents from across the Northeast.

This 30-bed facility recently opened in August 2016 and provides the most intensive level of care for patients working towards eating disorder recovery.

We are seeking an MD to join our team for this state-of-the art inpatient unit.

Reporting to Dr. James Greenblatt (Chief Medical Officer), the MD provides professional psychiatric care in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care. The MD is accountable for assigned patients and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional psychiatric practice in the inpatient unit. The MD will provide integrative care including consultation and recommendation for medications, dietary changes, supplementation, healthy lifestyle counseling, and other integrative medicine approaches. The MD also communicates with other providers to ensure healthcare continuity and coordination. This position functions as part of an interdisciplinary integrative medicine team and participates in case conferencing as needed.

The Department of Psychiatry at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC), in affiliation with Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General), has outstanding opportunities for full-time or part-time BC/BE adult and child psychiatrists to work in a new, state-of-the-art, 120-bed psychiatric inpatient facility on the NSMC campus in Salem, MA. The facility, opening in the fall of 2019, will feature two adult units, one child and adolescent unit, and one geriatric unit. A full range of behavioral health services will be provided, including substance use disorder treatment and dementia care.

Qualified candidates will receive a clinical appointment at both NSMC and Mass General, offering interested candidates an ideal opportunity for education and research engagement and broader collaboration. The Department of Psychiatry at Mass General is consistently ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report and works with NSMC as a community partner.  Adult and Child Psychiatry- Greater Boston, Massachusetts

Atrius Health has full and part-time openings for BC/BE adult and/or child psychiatrists in multiple locations including the Metro Boston area, Metro-West and Merrimac Valley. Responsibilities include outpatient psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning and integrated psychiatric treatment and medication management services. Our psychiatry clinical schedules offer one-hour intakes and 20-30 minute follow-up appointments.

The behavioral health team works closely with our medical colleagues (internists, pediatricians and gynecologists) in addition to a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health clinicians (psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and clinical nurse specialists) in a collaborative approach to delivering outpatient psychiatric and behavioral health care. Our care model is based on continuous quality improvement characterized by empirical evidence and peer reviewed literature for standards of care that are both specific in the treatment of psychiatric illness, yet broad enough to allow for a wide array of techniques. Our innovative model includes treatment plans designed around evidence-based treatment principles put together by a multidisciplinary team and includes smaller caseloads for psychotherapists based on weekly psychotherapy sessions, routine measurement of patient self-reported symptoms, a review of data with the patient at each clinical session, weekly peer consultation on cases, and robust group programs.
